"What a great stay for our family! This retreat is a sweet, cozy cottage right on the banks of the Brazos River. It’s only a few miles from Waco but you’ll feel miles away from the world! The house had everything possible you could need. It is well appointed and was comfortable sleeping for 6. There is great outdoor space with a fire pit and chairs right by the river. We will definitely look to stay here again!"

If you’re looking for a quiet tucked away paradise then look no further! The hosts (Mark and Mary) are gifts from God and I don’t say that lightly. It is a little further outside of the Baylor/Magnolia bubble than we thought it would be, but we were thankful for a cozy, comfortable and quite stay during the hustle and bustle of graduation. "Rough start, the code had been changed by the manager, but the door was left unlocked, so we initially got right in. When we locked the door and then came back to the property, suddenly we were locked out. It was after dinner and late in the evening. We had to try and get ahold of the host, which took about 1.5 hours. Ultimately, we were given the new code and they brought us a lovely gift basket the next day as an apology. We appreciated the gift basket and understand how the problem happened....

Perfect fit for family gathering.

We used the canoe and kayaks provided and our whole family really enjoyed the stay and felt at home. It is a short walk from the house to the water so getting the boats there is a bit of a challenge. Big fire ring was perfect and our kids had frog catching contests each night. Catherine and her husband were a delight and I would definitely stay here again."
