The living room furniture by the TV isn’t very strong. I see what the idea was with the futons to have extra sleeping space but it’s not great for adults to sit on, which why I give it four stars. "The flat was better than advertised. The amenities were helpful, especially since we only stayed one night. Our primary reason for selecting this site was ready access to Heathrow the next morning. Even so, our host greeted us with a smile. We will use Steep Rise of we come this way again."

"It is a very tight lane you arrive on, best if travelling together one gets out and walks to open gate. The views are to die for! Property itself is quirky, full of memorabilia. "Checkin , parking and the apt were terrific - very large space. walkable to Jericho and central Oxford - or bike-able. Near the canal walk and close to Port Meadow. Possibly one of the better locations in Oxford. The apartment is modern and well equipped but there were just a few negative points more for the owners to repair. "My second time renting this property as it is quite close to my Oxford family member’s flat and very convenient to the grocery and all of the city as well. To improve comfort the living area needs more comfortable seating with foot rests. The provided towels did not include wash cloths this time which would be helpful. But we made do and enjoyed the stay. It’s a nicely appointed property and I look forward to staying there again."

"We loved our stay in this home and found it equipped with all the necessary amenities for a family away from home for a week--a well stocked kitchen, streaming services, plenty of large, comfortable beds. "Excellent location for visits to Windsor, Eaton and Slough town centre. Entire booking and check-in experience was seamless. Apartment is very accessible and secure with digital locks at the gate and front door. Overall I’d recommended staying here, but the only negative was the beds. The mattresses were as hard as a rock and pillows were poor quality"

"If located at the front of the building, there’s a lot of noise and light from the street and at all hours. You’ll need to bring earplugs and eye mask! Also, be aware that the hot water cylinder only heats overnight, so not unusual to have no hot water in the evenings! Building could do with refurbishment."
