"First. When you arrive at the hotel, don’t be put off by the surroundings. It’s one of three in an industrial area near JFK which isn’t where I’d go for a morning run. That being said, the interior finish and conditions are first rate. Looked to me like a recent refresh where the only signs of age was the condition of the bottom of the bathroom door moulding. Not bad, just not new. The other quirk was the luggage strap motif in both the lobby and the room. Seemed out of place but that’s just me. Breakfast was good and who doesn’t love a waffle maker? Only other thing was it took a while for me to find the switch for the headboard light. It’s a small switch on one side of the bed (but not the other) that mimics the downlight switch. Of course I slept on the side without the switch which is why it took some searching. Oh, and if you get in late the shuttle stops running at 10:45 from the federal circle Airtrain stop!"
