"There's staff to welcome and orientate us upon arrival. And since it's a large hotel with 3 buildings, the staff briefed us and walked us to the building where our room was. "We had a lovely stay at Onn Nakatsugawa before hiking a few sections of the Nakasendo Way. The hotel is within walking distance of the train station and has several retaurants nearby. We enjoyed our meal of yakiniku and shabu shabu at Chicken House, which is right across the road. The rooms are very small but the onsen is great. The breakfast had a lot of variety and was delicious. It even had allergens marked clearly. We would definitely stay again."
