"Overall we loved our room, it was very large and very comfortable, the blinds in the bathroom was very dusty, in despite of the amazing view from any rooms, the breakfast was excellent, most items were top notch, the location near Kyoto, with a car parking easy to access and convenient, the view on the lake was very Zen. Definitely recommend the higher floors room totally worth it."

"The Quintessa is an older hotel but comfortable with good value. My queen double was spacious and had a great view from the large windows. Breakfast is above average with a focus of Japanese dishes. The hotel is a great departure point to explore the canals around the City Hall and Ogaki Castle. There are 29 natrual springs in Ogaki, 3 are located in front of the station. Nobody drinks from them--but they were the highlight of my trip. The water is cold and sweet! I filled up my water bottle every day."
