"An extremely nice cozy hotel located close to the railway station. The rooms were relatively roomy with clean beds and sizable space for toilet, shower and bathtub. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel interior is well designed and built with attention on little details. Serve very good Japanese breakfast. Will try to stay at the Group’s properties in the future. "

"This is such a beautiful Onsen with an incredibly kind staff. We took a gamble in coming up to Tendo during our 2.5 week trip to Japan, and this stay easily became the highlight of our trip. We stayed in the suite with a hot tub in the balcony, and the room was spacious, clean, and traditional. The breakfast had a variety of choices, and the dinner (separate charge) was delicious with locally sourced food. Give this place a try, you’ll feel refreshed after your stay!"

"Clean and spacious room. It kinda expensive in ski season, but still the best choice at Zao, Yamagata. Smoking room is near the lobby, which is a really bad design, you can smell the stinks every time before taking the elevator. Overall, a great place to stay."

"An amazing hotel that I learned about from a friend. Easy to get to as it is directly across from the bus station. Can walk to the ski slopes, which is about five minutes away. Make sure to include breakfast and dinner, as they are amazing served in the room. each room also gets an hour in the private onsen, which is amazing. There is also a public Hot Springs available anytime. English is limited, but the staff are super friendly attentive, and get things done. Ski storage and the set up is perfect to arrive in the morning, Ski, while your room gets ready and then also Ski after you check out. They sell discounted tickets which saves 1100 yen (cash only). "
