"We had an excellent stay at this hotel. The location is just a few minutes away from the bus station. About a 15 minute walk to Sanmachi area. They provided yukatas for us to wear. The bath was nice and relaxing. We enjoyed our Japanese traditional breakfast. The staff were excellent and attentive. We would recommend staying here if visiting Takayama! "

"Absolutely awesome traditional Japanese hotel experience, the rooms are simple as expected but great views. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The traditional dinner is a must, good value for the amount of food. Not a lot of restaurants around the hotel but only approx 20-30 minute walk to city centre (or short taxi ride away). "

"The hotel staff and people were spectacular! Breakfast was traditional Japanese style food, which may or may not suit westerners. Hotel is a bit dated and it shows. Our room was clean upon arrival; however, we encountered bugs and mosquitoes inside our 3rd floor room. This didn’t particularly bother us, but it may have an impact on other guests. A delicious Traditional Japanese Dinner and breakfast were served to us in a private room. There are public and private bathhouse options- all of which were very clean, comfortable, and relaxing! "
