The hotel has a small sauna which has a shower area and great views across the lake. The hotel also has some lovely communal areas / rooms."

"If arriving by train in Alingsas, the Grand Hotel’s location can’t be beaten. Our room was very quiet except for the sound of the squeaky elevator passing the third floor. The housekeeping staff keep the hotel spotless. Other pluses include a comfy bed and a kettle in the room. I love staying in older hotels with charm and character. The Grand Hotel has this in spades. "Our room was clean and comfortable. The hotel was very quiet as was the surrounding area. We were a bit late to the breakfast room and the staff person in charge allowed us to have some breakfast while she was cleaning up and putting food items away. The sewing machines and photos around the hotel were very interesting. Access to the hotel and each room is easy to gain and you feel very safe and secure,"

"First the bad stuff…There pricing was up there with some bigger chains so expect more from a hotel. I received a room that looked clean-ish, but they hadn’t changed the sheets. Just made the bed again. There was a clear indication that someone had slept in the bed before, plus there was hair by the pillows. I asked for milk for morning coffee, which I received (milk packets), only it had gone out of date 6 months before. I was down as soon as breakfast opened. The yogurt tasted like it went...

"Dies ist eine eher günstige Unterkunft, aber für Reisende zu Fuss sehr gut gelegen. Überrascht hat mich das für diese Preisklasse reichhaltige Frühstück, welches auch verschiedene laktosefreie Produkte umfasste. Das Zimmer war gut, das Bett sehr gut, aber das "Badezimmer" hingegen leider sehr klein und etwas aus der Zeit gefallen."
