"Was much larger than I thought it would be. It has all the amenities you need for a nice stay. The bed was the best I have ever slept in. It was clean and well cared for. "I reserved this property for our end-of-summer vacation from 8/13-8/18. Two days before our check-in, the property owner offered me a different property than what was listed. She said the house is bigger with two beds. She did not contact me through VRBO, but texted me directly. After driving 450 miles, we arrived at the property around 8 pm. "The setting is lovely and the hosts are very accommodating. I will say to be careful when trying to swim off the shore. The mud is very deep and hard to get out of. I would recommend getting in and out of the water by using the dock and not trying to walk in and out. Kayaking was beautiful and there are plenty of them to use. "Trout Lake has been an annual summer trip for us for the last 7 years and this house is our favorite rental by far. The cottage is cozy, but well appointed.
