"I travel extensively internationally. This was one of THE best equipped rooms and facilities I have experienced anywhere. The location is excellent for walking,shopping and the beach. The rooms were super-well equipped and the staff very helpful. We loved the infinity pool overlooking the beach!"

"An sich ist das Hotel in Ordnung, Zimmer und öffentliche Räume waren sauber. Im Garten sitzt man sehr schön. Die Größe des Hotels ist angenehm. Mein Zimmer war zweckmäßig ausgestattet. Das Bett im Einzelzimmer war mir persönlich zu weich - und viel wichtiger, zu eng, weshalb ich auch für Einzelpersonen ein Doppelzimmer empfehle. Das Zimmer an sich, auch das Bad, war ausreichend groß. Die Duschkabine war zwar nicht einwandfrei (schwarze Schmutzablagerungen im unteren Bereich der Duschtür) aber...

"It was a good location but the hotel is a little dated. The room was a very good size. There was an electric outlet that was broken the toilet started to constantly drip. The breakfast was not great but okay. The price was a bit high. I have stayed at better hotels for less. "

"Although I was on business and did not have time to enjoy the Spa facilities or pool more than twice in my stay I enjoyed the pool when I used it. Many people may not realise that behind the hotel is a fabulous maritime forest which I have enjoyed in the past. The walk to the beach may be longer but my business was close by so this was ideal."

"Das Hotel Kastell ist ein sehr elegantes, relativ kleines Hotel in der Fußgängerzone in Ahlbeck mit bester Lage am Strand, mit Blick auf die Promenade und zum Teil mit Wasserblick. "It's very remote, only reachable by car, yet a parking fee of 6€ per day is collected. They are not prepared for people with allergies or intolerances. So be prepared to bring your own food. I woould suggest to the owners to provide some kind of shuttle service to train or bus station or downtown Ahlbeck. Also a water kettle to prepare tea was missing as well as an option to lock the door from inside."

"Sehr gute Lage, Wohnzimmer mit Meerblick. Die Zimmer waren sehr geräumig sowie hell und freundlich eingerichtet. Das Mobiliar ist schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen, das Apartmenthaus soll aber demnächst modernisiert werden. Das Frühstück war super, alles frisch zubereitet und sehr abwechslungs- sowie umfangreich. Wir haben uns hier sehr wohl gefühlt."
