"We stayed three nights (family of four) in Casper’s boat. The location is perfect, short walk to/from Centraal Station and easy to get to everything within the city. Casper’s communication was top-notch and the accommodations on the boat were exactly as advertised. Highly recommended. "

"Ein Stern ist selbst zu viel!!! Achtung - Betrug!!! Das Boot was angeboten wird gibt es zwar aber wird ausschließlich bei booking angeboten. Wir standen vor nichts in Zaandam und mussten erst da hin fahren von Expedia aus bis wir Ersatz bekommen haben. Da hatten wir bereits 25,-€ Bahngeld bezahlt, was Expedia nicht interessiert hat. Wir hatten einen Tag vorher gelesen das es an dem Standort nicht existiert und am Anreisetag sofort Expedia kontaktiert. Die Kommunikation hat gut geklappt, nur...

"Where to start??? Gerben (and Rodinde) was the ultimate host, the houseboat was incredible, and the location was exceptional. We didn't know what to expect since the property was brand new to VRBO, so you can imagine our surprise and delight that EVERY detail had been thought through. From heated floors to plenty of kitchenware to a lighted mirror in the bathroom (not to mention the fancy Japanese toilet and sauna!), we felt very pampered. "We certainly enjoyed our stay at the houseboat. Monnickendam is a cute little town with a nice market, shops and restaurants. Just a 10 minutes walk to the bus stop into Amsterdam - very convenient. On the houseboat you find everything you need. Perfect spot in the evening is on the rooftop. Our host provided us with a very warm welcome. Communication was easy and very pleasant. Getting used to the dry toilet is a little challenge - there are „normal“ toilets in the main building."

"We had a great stay with the best host! It was such a cool experience to stay in a house boat in Amsterdam. Was very centrally located."

"Es war ein stürmischer Aufenthalt über den Jahreswechsel und den einzigen Kampf, den wir zu kämpfen hatten, war der mit der Klimaanlage, die uns den Aufenthalt angenehmer machen sollte - lag aber bestimmt an uns. Die Böllerei anderer „Festland“-Gäste auf dem Steg - dem einzigen Weg vom Hausboot weg - war nicht gut, denn im schlimmsten Fall hätten wir nicht weggekonnt. Ein Hausboot zu mieten, war trotzdem eine gute Idee, gerne wieder!"

"we were surprised at how big the houseboat was, uitgeest is a lovely place and the view of the lake and sky was stunning. the only little annoyances were: - there was no lamp in the living area and the lighting was a bit too bright - there was a toaster oven instead of a toaster - we had to make the beds ourselves which i'm perfectly willing to do in a hostel but don't really want to do when we're paying hundreds of pounds and have had no sleep on the journey there (also the bedding and...
