Wakeup to the sound of the sea. Private parking. Fenced garden. Superb sea views

● Off-road private parking.
● Amazing sea views.
● Enclosed garden.
● South Facing patio.
● Outside shower with hot and cold water.
● Fibre optic broadband.
● T.V, DVD, Freesat.
● Central heating.
● Morso wood burning stove.
● Underfloor heating and heated towel rails.
● King-size Hypnos beds.

The ground floor of Porthvean is designed as an open space, with an additional smaller living area both offer stunning views of the sea. Finished in high-quality oak and slate flooring, underfloor heating, and a Morso wood burning stove for added cosiness. The kitchen is fully equipped with modern amenities like a dishwasher, large fridge freezer, and an additional wine fridge. For added convenience, there is a utility room with a washing machine and a separate tumble dryer. There is also a downstairs WC/shower room.

Upstairs at Porthvean you will find four bedrooms. The three double bedrooms with luxurious king-size Hypnos beds, ensuring a comfortable and restful sleep. What truly sets these bedrooms apart is their spectacular sea views, which offer a breathtaking backdrop to wake up to each morning. Additionally, there is a fourth bedroom furnished with two single beds, perfect for accommodating larger groups or families. The crown jewel is undoubtedly the master bedroom, complete with an ensuite bathroom featuring a bath and a separate walk-in shower. Alongside the master suite, a family bathroom with both a bath and a shower is available, along with a modern downstairs shower room complete with a basin and toilet. All the bathrooms are equipped with underfloor heating and heated towel rails, ensuring that guests are comfortable and warmth. The upstairs area is carpeted, for a cosy and inviting atmosphere throughout.

The house sits on a mini-peninsular which gives it, with its four bay windows, a 200 degree sea view, from the sheltered sandy beach out to the distant horizon and around to the craggy Chynhalls Point.

The garden and patio are south facing with a sheltered sunny courtyard for breezy days. There is an outside shower for washing off sandy toes after trip to the beach. Unusually for the centre of the village there is private off-road parking, for two medium size cars. Super fast fibre optic broad band.

Coverack is a picturesque Cornish fishing village. Nestling around the granite built harbour are a pub and a restaurant both providing good food. There is a local village shop which is open seven days a week. Next door there is a coffee shop, which serves wonderful coffee, pastries and ice creams. Running along the side of the house is a path which leads to the beach. Opposite the house there is a park with swings and a slide for children.

Ensuring a Comfortable Environment for All Guests
Pets have always held a special place in our lives. Both David and I, having been brought up with dogs and cats, understand the joy and companionship they bring to family life. However, we also recognise that not everyone shares the same appreciation for pets, and some individuals suffer from allergies.
In order to maintain a comfortable and allergen-free environment for all our guests, we have made the decision to establish a no pets policy at Porthvean. We understand that it may seem disappointing for those who would have loved to bring their furry companions along, but we believe that this choice is necessary to ensure the highest levels of cleanliness and comfort for all visitors.
Removing traces of pets from one stay to the next poses a significant challenge. Despite our best efforts, it is difficult to completely eliminate allergens and pet hair, potentially causing discomfort for those with sensitivities.

Excellent stay
We had the most enjoyable week staying in this wonderful house. Excellent sea views from almost every window. Superbly furnished and equipped we wanted for nothing. It was more than a ‘home from home’. We enjoyed the welcome pack of scones, jam and cream very much. The position of the house within Coverack is great and very convenient with only a short walk to the harbour, shop, fish & chips and local pub. The off road car parking for two cars across from the house was very convenient. We highly recommend this as a place to stay - you won’t be disappointed.

Well appointed house with amazing views.
The house is a perfect retreat to get away from it all but so close to amenities, small shops and places to eat. The house is comfortable with everything you need. It would have been useful to have a shed to put our dirty walking boots in. We hope to return soon.

Wonderful house with sea views in Coverack
We really enjoyed our autumn break! The house is on a very quiet road, steps away from the South West Coast Path. Sea views are extensive in various directions, the Morse Oven works really well, although it is not necessary to use it, as the central heating is very good. Kitchen is well kitted out, I imagine even with a full house, you would be very comfortable.

Missing those views already!
We had a delightful stay at Porthvean - what a lovely house and beautiful part of the country! Those views are just stunning! Coverack is a delightful little place. Local establishments (restaurant, cafe, shop etc.) are taking social distancing very seriously, it was all very well-managed, which was very comforting to see. The house is literally right on the southwest coast path, so it was perfect for walking along the coast. Porthbeer Cove was a particular favourite for a relatively short, stunning walk. Porthvean is also very well placed for a number of must-do’s on the Lizard peninsula. The kitchen was very well equipped - bonus points for having a decent set of knives! We are very much looking forward to visiting again next year !

Covid 19 Break
Because of Coronavirus we weren't sure we would be able to come but the Lockdown came to an end just as our holiday was due. So it was a welcome relief for all of us to just be able to have a change of scenery. Two of our party had to work some of the time but they loved being able to look out at the great view from the house; a view of sun, sea, rocks and container ships. The rest of us went to the beach, visited Falmouth and St Ives and walked some of the many walks accessible from the house. Our favourite places were Kynance Cove, St Just and Godrevy. The house was perfect for all of us, 6 adults, a 4 year old and an under 2 year old. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need and there was plenty of room. There are stair gates, a cot and High Chair. There's even a wine fridge which we stuffed. Because of Covid 19 eating out was difficult but we could get local fish and chips (and a vegan option) and have a drink outside the pub. We brought most of our food with us and topped up at the local, very well stocked store. We also brought with us a BBQ, but if you do that, watch out for the local thieving cat! The play area opposite us was opened on the Monday and after polishing the slide so it was slippy, the kids made full use of it. Coverack is beautiful and very peaceful and we will definitely return. We enjoyed every minute and were sad to leave. You do have to remember though that life is not as it was. Some Cornish residents were wary of us incomers, you can't just eat where and when you want or get what you want so you have to come prepared. And wherever you go, if it involves paying (such as the Seal Sanctuary or St Michaels Mount) you have to pre-book a slot. And there were signs everywhere asking you not to litter but people were very prepared and good about social distancing and keeping everything clean. That was very reassuring.
