"Firstly I must say that the service and food was excellent. The menu was extensive and delicious. The staff were brilliant- nothing was too much trouble. My spa treatment by Lucy was probably the best I’ve ever experienced. The hotel is clean and comfortable. The dining areas are well laid out and well maintained. The room was spacious enough although perhaps a little dated, and a little more storage space in the bathroom and bedroom would be beneficial. The snug was cozy and had several board games, these could do with updating as there were lots of games not complete, that said, although we didn’t use it the games room looked good and was well used mostly by children. Unfortunately the weather was not favourable as the cliff path walks are on the hotel door step and the nearby beaches looked nice. The hotel pool was closed for renovations so hopefully that will be a bonus. Overall a very pleasant stay."

"Louise and Matt made us very welcome and the cottage had everything we needed including all kitchen essentials.The garden is very relaxing and we were glad to be able to find lots of cool shady areas in the very hot weather that we had during our stay.Quite nicely situated for visiting the Lizard area and not too far to drive to get to the Penzance and Cape Cornwall areas. Recommended for garden lovers."

"Alicia and Clive were the perfect hosts. Breakfast was superb and nice options offered for Evening Meal. Courtesy tray in room was also very comprehensively stocked with different teas, coffees and hot chocolate. Bedroom and Bathroom impeccably clean and ventilation superb. Bed very comfortable. Will definitely be coming back."

"What an amazing holiday we have had! We had never booked a holiday rental before, and we are so glad we booked Primrose Cottage for our first experience. The accommodation is perfect; a real home from home. Such a comfortable, relaxing environment. Everything you could possibly need has been thought of. We jokingly said that the only thing we hadnt seen was weighing scales for cake baking... only to find them a day or so later! Our kids loved playing in the garden and in the games room, and we loved relaxing on the sun loungers and on the cozy sofa. The village is really lovely too - a spar that stocks all the essentials, pubs to eat in, and all within a stones throw of amazing beaches. We are a neurodivergent family, so we had a lot of boxes to tick when looking for accommodation, and this ticked all of them. Jane is an amazing host too; always responsive and helpful. If, like us, you are looking for a slice of luxury to base yourself on the Lizard, look no further."
