This is a wonderful hotel. My daughter and I stayed for a few days and loved the location, the style of the hotel and the delicious breakfast. The staff was kind and helpful and the rooms are comfortable and very clean. We also loved the guest sauna. It's a quick walk to lots of shops, transportation and restaurants, and not far from central station. We will stay here again.

The rooms are beautifully designed and comfortable. It is a little bit away from the train station but I enjoyed the quiet neighborhood. The bathroom is pretty small. If you mind tiny bathrooms, book a larger room. Some amenities were lacking such as a wash cloth and conditioner. Considering the price and design, I will stay again. As a bonus, there is an excellent Japanese restaurant which is kind of hidden from outside.

Cosy and comfortable

Very comfortable convenient hotel with friendly helpful staff. Each room has a kettle. In some rooms on the top floor (6th) the ventilation is noisy. Ask for a room with a digital air conditioning control.

Helka was Heaven

I needed a good enough hotel in central Helsinki and Helka was Heaven. Good information upon arrival, for example that there is a sauna on the sixth floor. Clean and updated rooms (just a little too warm quilt, woke up sweaty after an hour), nice service at the bar and a good breakfast buffet. Took an evening walk in Helsinki in the chilly April wind and after that it was nice to have the heat from the sauna, an unusual electric one.

Wonderful central Helsinki hotel

Very short 1 night stay at the end of our extended Helsinki trip. Over the years having stayed in multiple hotels, this is hands down the best we have stayed in. Our room was massive with a extremely beautiful sauna. Very clean well decorated and even when leaving early for the airport they put together a breakfast bag and tea for our trip to the airport. Recommend this hotel this hotel to anybody wanting something a little more spacious with great service from the friendly staff.

Hotel Helka has everything you could want for a comfortable stay in Helsinki. The breakfast buffet is excellent, and there is a fridge and microwave available to guests. Getting into town is walkable via the old railway line which runs along the middle of the street, or there are frequent trams which stop nearby. The bar is a quiet but friendly space to hang out in the evening after a busy day. The best thing though is the sauna 🤗 free to use mornings and evenings. Highly recommended.

The Hotel Helka was very central, clean and had a simple but good breakfast. Perfect for me! Thenonly thing that people need to be aware of is that the shower has the capability to flood the bathroom. Make sure that the was to the sink in the middle of the room is there.

Hotel staff were very accomodating but the I found the pictures well crafted to a level that meke you feel like they were deceiving as the reality was different. A bit old, uncomfortable bed, shower area was too small. Missing fridge, no slippers (so forget going to the sauna if you haven't packed one.) Talking about Sauna, it was clean and nice

Clean room and excellent breakfast

Checking in and out was fast & easy. The staff are friendly. Our favorite was the breakfast buffet. It has a variety of options and even a chance to make your own waffle. They have fresh fruits and frozen berries on the porridge table which provides healthier option. The only thing that we weren't that happy about was that the room was different than what we saw in the picture. As we travel with a toddler, space is so important factor and we pay attention to details like how big the room is and how it's furnished. We got some explanation that all rooms aren't identical to the picture which isn't so convincing but any ways it was only one night so it was okay.
