My second stay at Citybox Helsinki and it was perfect once again. Located right at a metro station, not far from the Central Station, in a quieter residential area. Room was clean and comfortable, beautiful bathroom, bed was a bit on the soft side, crisp and cozy bedding. I faced the street with the tram but the windows were great at keeping sound out. The communal kitchen is awesome, with tableware and fridge and microwave, coffee machine ($), and adjacent laundry ($). Everything functions so well, you can tell they are good at maintaining things. The main floor has lots of seating and tables for eating and hanging out, including a ping pong table. Check-in is using a machine but was easy (make sure you have your check-in code ready), and luggage storage is available, though I did not use it. I included breakfast, which was next door, with great food and friendly service. Check-out was quick using the machine. If you are making your own food, there is a Lidl supermarket close by with very good prices, better than the S-Market. Minor suggestions to the management: soap is too scented for me, dryer time was too short so I had to run it twice. Thanks for another great stay!

Great place to stay if you’re a self-sufficient traveller, who doesn’t need (or want) the pampering and daily room cleaning of a hotel. Citibox is steps from the metro, but also a nice walk to the centre. Kitchen and common areas are well-maintained. Coffee is pricey (and on the weak side, especially if you're used to French/Italian coffee). Would definitely stay here again, but next time will bring my own coffee (and tea bags), and borrow a kettle to brew my own.

Besser als Ibis. Dss Zimmer war gut. Das Frühstück ist im angrenzenden Café. Dort gibt es nur Filterkaffee. Für richtigen Kaffee muss man extra Bezahlen. Die Maschinen im Foyer haben wir nicht benutzt, aber haben ganz ordenlich ausgeschaut. Self check in ist einfach.

I expected this to be really basic but it was clean and very well organised as a self-service type hotel. Check in and out was very quick, and the option to use things like the communal fridge and kitchen or store luggage was great. It's close to public transport so easy to get around as well. I'd definitely stay here again, great value for money.

If you are not familiar with the Citybox hotel chain, like I wasn't, you will be surprised by their extremely lean structure and staff. Having said that, I don't think their obsession with efficiency caused any problems with our stay. Checking in and out is extremely fast and easy, the communal kitchen is convenient and clean, the few staff members we came across were very friendly and helpful, and the premises were brand new. Rooms were initially clean and functional (although not cleaned again for any of the other 5 nights we spent there). The lack of a TV in our room wasn't particularly a big deal, but including separate hygiene products for hair and body, as well as a hair conditioner, would have been great. The particular location was not the best for visiting the city, but there were a good number of restaurants and shops around.

Instalações modernas, ambientes muito bem decorados e limpos e funcionária atenciosa, qdo tivemos problemas com o check in, que em regra é totalmente feito nas máquinas da recepção. A copa cozinha bem equipada funciona muito bem para fazer uma pequena refeição. As camas nao sao muito confortáveis; colchões muito finos, porém a roupa de cama e toalhas sao de boa qualidade. Café da manha servido num restaurante perto do hotel. Café razoável. Lavanderia é paga . 20 euros para lavar e secar uma máquina de roupa .
