Our stay was fantastic! Cece was awesome and helpful in every way! She arranged a rental car for us at the house so we could get around the island independently. This is a nice place to stay when visiting Statia. They have good electric bikes (not for free), which is the best way to get around the island and know every corner of it.

Nice view, room clean (floor could be cleaner) and good, daily housekeeping. Connection with village is poor: although it is on short distance, as pedestrian it is very dangerous to walk roadside to restaurants and shops. A shuttle should be the best solution.

Very nice comfortable casual accommodations. Very convenient to amazing bakery open for breakfast and lunch, other restaurants nearby. Only critique of Althea Cottage is that the gas stove’s flame controls didn’t work well.
