This was a beautiful experience to see the northern lights. However, the self check in was a bit confusing. I wasn’t aware of the process. I was expecting to see and speak with a live person. However, the number given for help was very helpful.

Stracta Hotel
Not much variety for breakfast, uncomfortabld pillows and spa facilities are outdoor which probably isnt the best idea for an Iceland winter - one to bare in mind. Okay for a quick nights sleep and move onwards

Welcome Riverside Guesthouse
Parking was free along the street with plenty of spots. Rooms and showers were clean and never heard any neighbors. Good location with a few restaurants close by that are walkable.

Afternoon cottages near Hella, Hekla & Landmannalaugar
Everything was as expected, except for availability of bathroom amenities. For this price, is it unreasonable to provide shampoo/conditioner? Otherwise was great
