"Stayed here twice during my Iceland trip. It’s a peaceful, cozy place that makes a great base for exploring the South Coast. Pros * Extremely quiet, peaceful, and relaxing. * Cozy, comfortable rooms with a nice cabin feel. * Beautiful setting beside the river. * Easy to access and close to Hella. * Great location if you’re taking buses to/from the Highlands. * A perfect place to rest and recharge after a long day outdoors. Opportunities for Improvement * A few maintenance and attention-to-detail items: * No bedside table. * Bedside lights flickered. * TV remote was missing. * Window blinds didn’t work properly. * Door locks were a bit confusing and finicky. * Breakfast was a little underwhelming. More variety and better coffee would make a noticeable difference. * My biggest piece of feedback is the fragrance used on the bedding. I’m somewhat sensitive to scents, but this was much stronger than anywhere else I stayed in Iceland. The perfume smell actually woke me up during the night. I’d strongly recommend switching to an unscented or more neutral laundry detergent, as I think it would improve the experience for many guests. Overall This is a charming, peaceful place in a beautiful setting, and I’d happily stay here again. With a little more attention to the small details, it could easily be a 5-star experience."
