A small, cozy half-timbered house in a quiet location awaits your visit. Located right on the Weser Cycle Route, you’ll have the opportunity to explore the surrounding area. Our half-timbered house has a long history. First built in 1751 as a bakery and smokehouse, it lay dormant for many years until we brought it back to life 25 years ago. Lovingly restored and rebuilt, it served as a flower shop for a good 20 years. Now it has found a new purpose and is a small but very charming vacation home geworden.Im The first floor features a living, kitchen, and dining area. The exposed half-timbered beams create a cozy atmosphere throughout the house. (Have you spotted the beams that have been there since 1751? You’ll definitely recognize them by their shape and color.) Whether you’re reading a book on the sofa, preparing a meal, or waiting for your meal at the dining table, you can experience the special charm this house exudes. But of course, you’re also welcome to watch TV—televisions are available on both the first floor and the upper floor. We’ve equipped the kitchen with a convection oven and ceramic cooktop, a microwave, and of course a kettle, toaster, and coffee maker, as well as a refrigerator with a small freezer compartment, a sink, and a dishwasher. Also on the first floor is the bathroom, which is unparalleled in its tile design. (Well, the tiler must have taken Mr. Hundertwasser as his inspiration, don’t you think?) You reach the upper floor via a handcrafted, curved, open oak staircase. It’s a real eye-catcher, too. (Have you figured out what that post was in its previous life?) Upstairs is the bedroom, featuring a double bed and a large sleeper sofa. Of course, you don’t need to worry about bed linens or towels—they’re provided, and the beds are made, so nothing stands in the way of a relaxing night once you’ve drawn the blackout curtains steht.Im. Outside, we’ve set up a seating area for you, and you can enjoy breakfast in the fresh air—there’s enough tableware for at least six people. Also in the outdoor area, we’ve set up a small, lockable wooden gazebo for your use. There are also two bicycles here that you’re welcome to use to pick up bread rolls in the morning or for a trip out. Of course, you can also store any bicycles or similar items you’ve brought with you here.The location of our vacation home allows you to quickly reach the major cities of Hanover or Bremen (both about 50 km away). Heidepark Soltau is also about 50 km away, and Walsrode Bird Park awaits your visit just 25 km away. You can also easily take the bus to Nienburg an der Weser. The bus stop is located right next door. Nienburg is a small independent city that hosts Europe’s most beautiful weekly market on Wednesdays and Saturdays. The Police Museum and the Asparagus Museum are special attractions in Nienburg. We can easily arrange your check-in via our key system, and free parking is available in front of and next to the house. We look forward to welcoming you as our guests.
