Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
First. The staff were very nice, responsive and helpful. We called and explained we needed a slightly later check in and the lady was understanding and happy to help. Later, when I called for an issue with hot water they answered immediately and came to try to fix it even though it was after 10pm.
The room was clean. Although the bathroom tile floor could use a deep grout clean, it was overall clean and sanitary. However, they use a deodorizing spray that is extremely strong! It has an unfamiliar scent we didn’t like and the chemical profile was intense. We had to open the window and turn on the bathroom vent to try to air it out. I appreciate the room not stinking… but this was way too much. In colder weather, airing the room out wouldn’t have been practicable.
The sink had NO hot water. Not even warm. The bath had enough water to take a shower on full hot only. Towels were very low quality and didn’t absorb to dry you off. Bring your own!
The only AC outlet available was broken and inoperable. We had to unplug the TV to plug our chargers in and I couldn’t use my CPAP since I had no extension cord. (They probably would have loaned us one but I was too tired to ask)
Thankfully, the king bed was decent.
For the price it was a good stay as we were able to deal with the issues.
The main thing for us was that it was clean. As long as they keep that up it counts for a lot.
The other small things could, and should be fixed for future guests. Maybe they’ll read this review?)
Place is very outdated and tv didn't work. Frigde was noisy, and so is the outside noise with trucks passing through. A seat backing was broken. Bathroom was very cold. Not a great place to stay. Was also overpriced for the condition of the place. Motel 6 is better and cheaper.
The staff was very friendly.Room was clean and smelled fresh.. Furniture could use some updating, as well as the bathroom… Overall a good overnight stay!
Typical low rent 1 star dump.
Toilet was clogged, bath fixtures were lose . Can't expect much for $95 a night.
Next time we visit Jim Thorpe, we'll spend more money in nicer settings .
Looked and felt like the Bates Motel. There were burns on the sheets, hot water didn't work and then came out scalding hot, stains all over the carpet, bad smells coming from the room and the toilet had cigarette burns.
There was a unique perfume smell that was offputting and made the room stuffy. We had to air it out but that made the whole room cold in the morning. The towels didn't seem too clean either.
Air conditioner didn't work, room needs to be clean better, hotel needs to be fixed

Cheap you get what pay for Motel
Quick trip went with cheapest option. Hotel from the outside not in good condition. Bathroom was small but new and clean and same for small kitchen area. We booked for 2nights and left after first night. Carpet was sticky and the room smelled really bad. Stains on box spring and the mattress bowedinto the middle. Sheets were clean
I arrived at night with my partner, I arrived at 12 at night and I had to leave at 2 AM in the morning, the bed smelled bad and to top it all off I found 2 condoms on the floor, it seems like there was someone there and they didn't clean it well, everyone was dirty.
Pros: hot shower & good WiFi. Cons: The property is very old & rundown. The sheets & towels were stained & threadbare. The mattresses are worn out & offer no support. The floor was not vacuumed as there was debris & food on the carpet. No TV when it rains because the satellite service goes out. Some of the rooms are smoking so the sidewalk in front of the rooms is littered with butts. The area is also very noisy. Needless to say, we will not be returning to this property.

1st - they charged me at the counter even though I showed them the receipt that I paid. They said they got a msg that I had to pay at the counter. 2nd - they heat didn’t work well. It was very cold all night. I couldn’t sleep at all. It was terrible. 3rd- there was NO hot water. I had to do my diligences with very cold cold cold water. In conclusion, it was a very terrible experience. I won’t be booking that place again. It was close and convenient to where I was going, but I rather go far and be comfortable.
Just a regular motel.
The staff is very helpful. The property condition could be better.
E.g. had to turn off the fridge to turn on the microwave as some sockets aren't working, another electric socket is right on top of the heater.
At first i was hesitant to write. Because this is someones mean of living but there should be sime standard they are held to and i paid for a place to stay and got a dump. Literally looked like animals lived in the room chewing on everything. Stood in 3 inches of water everytime i showered and got out of the shower to an inch of water on the floor. This place should be condemed and torn down.
