"I was very surprised at how amazing this place was. I spent 2 weeks traveling in Spain, and out of my 6 stays, this was the best experience overall. Upon arrival, I was greeted with a short meeting to discuss recommendations about the area (with maps), which was very helpful! "Lovely hotel just out of Santander in a reasonably sized village. Restaurants, cafes, supermarkets and bakeries all close by. Several sandy beaches within walking distance. Hotel was clean, tidy and quiet. Staff were lovely and helpful. Air con was powerful. We stopped here the night before we were due to catch the boat from Santader. Would happily stay here agin."

"What a lovely, unexpected surprise the Rio Ason was. First and foremost, the staff are amazing. From arrival Anna and rest of the team were so helpful, and genuinely friendly and happy to chat. The hotel itself is great - clean, quiet and modern, good sized room, secure off street parking, and a fantastic breakfast buffet. Ramales itself is a great little local town too, lots of lovely walks in the surrounding hills (and caves!), and a huge selection of local bars for refreshment...
