"The couple that runs the Lawn Guest House have thoight of everything...from tea, coffee, and hot chocolate in the room to an excellent guide book written with their guests in mind. Restaurants, pubs, and shopping are an easy 3 to 10 minute walk. We had a late arrival and they went out of their way to accommodate us. I highly recommend this brilliant bed & breakfast."

"Joe the Manager provided great service to us. Rugs could have used a shampooing. Kitchen walls could have used repainting as there were splatter stains from prior use. Communal kitchen for free breakfast was on your own to cook or make. Bread for toast; butter; jam; milk; cereal; apple juice; orange juice; bacon and eggs. Kitchen dishes and cookware provided. Communal sitting area for eating or resting to watch TV; listen to music or read. Change of towels on request and no maid...

"Very happy with service "

"We stayed here for one night before a stupid o'clock flight from Gatwick. Communication beforehand from the staff was brilliant, advising us on taxi options to the airport, parking etc. The room was lovely, modern decor, comfy bed, very small bathroom but who cares it was fine! We got the train to Horley and it was about a 10 minute walk, very easy. Lovely pub and restaurants within walking distance. Staff were super helpful offering us a choice of rooms on arrival to meet our needs. Great value...

"Excellent value for money , room was large, large comfy bed with TV and sofa. Mini kitchen with kettle,sink,hob,microwave and fridge. En suite bath with shower. Towels provided.I only booked for the one night but would have happily stayed a week. Yes there was the odd hair and a bit of dust in places but on the whole it was clean. Its a bit dated but wouldn't expect anything less being an old building. I'd definitely be booking again."

"The room was lovely, the staff called as soon as we checked in to see if we checked in okay which was nice. If you looked out the window to the right you could see the sea. It was in a very good location. Cafes, bars and more right down the road! Difficult with parking but managed to find a carpark two streets down for £20 for 24 hours. Overall it was a lovely place for a little getaway, me and my partner really enjoyed ourself! "

"This is a really good value option for anyone visiting Brighton. The rooms are compact but the bed was very comfortable. The owner is friendly and sorts things out very quickly when you check in. It is also in easy walking distance of the Concorde 2 music venue. So handy if you are seeing a gig there."

"This is a lovely inn/pub in a pretty village. It was very clean and well-kept. The service was extremely friendly and accommodating. The pub has wonderful food. We tried a South African platter, and it was amazing. Would definitely recommend a stay here. "

"Such a nice quiet place"

"We stayed for 3 days after our 14-night cruise and were able to wash and dry all our clothes. The washing machine was very handy. The provided clothes hanger had seen better days but we made it work. The location was fabulous and close to heaps of restaurants and pubs. We caught the local bus to Lewes for fun and had a great day. The apartment is quiet and comfortable. We would recommend to stay here. "
