"A clean, well-run place. I booked at the last minute, so the email with information on accessing the place was sent by email while I was on the train. Wifi on the train was non-existent, so I had difficulty downloading the information, so I rang the landlord, who was extremely helpful. "

"The woman I spoke to was kind enough to let me check in several hours early, and I was upgraded to an absolutely GORGEOUS room and full bathroom including large bath and separate bidet. The location was fantastic; close to the middle of town and the local beach, quick walk (though very steep) to the castle, in between walks to the white cliffs in either direction. "I love these type of B&B’s. This B&B is steeped in history built in the 18th century, On the land owned by the Spencer family, Vincent Van Gogh also lived on the square, so this is not a modern hotel if that’s what you’re looking for, it has steep stairs and smallish rooms, but is full of character, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the hospitality was fantastic and the breakfast was delicious, the pub on the corner is very friendly and only a short walk to the beach."

"It's a great retreat. The environment is quiet and chill,, rooms with good view on a grassland with cows & hares getting around. The only thing is the privacy,, since the glass of the window is not shaded and the people passed by could easily see through into your room when you are looking at the beautiful view."

Thirdly a double booking happened so we had to stay at the owner boat. That was TERRIBLE!! Dust everywhere, and old mouldy smell scented fhe entire place.
