Bicycle repair shop is small and quiet. Not a big retail shop. We just take care of the locals.
They break them and we fix them.
We are also a Certified Bike Fitter.
You do not need to ride bikes to stay here but we are fully equipped to take care of any bicycle needs you may have

If you ride your bike to a resort and tip a couple to many we will come and rescue you one time for free

A few years back we decided to go to the 1st annual Catalina Jazz Festival
We made our reservations eight months in advance and paid for them
We stayed one night and then they moved us into another room
You know: We really did not appreciate having to repack to move
We hate surprises like that when we are in need of R&R
And we are sure that you feel the same way
We will go the extra mile to make sure that does not happen to you here!!!

We understand that some flights get in late and there is nothing open between the airport and here. So we always leave a snack for our tired and hungry travelers.

We enjoyed the well equipped, well maintained and organized rental. It was very complete and convenient with kitchen items, bedding options, beach gear. Nice outdoor dining table. Surroundings are generally quiet with sounds of the countryside/nature, with isolated/minor road noise. Betty was a great host, greeted us, promptly answered questions and was sincerely interested in her guests enjoying their stay in Hawi. It was a nice get-away from busier, resort-oriented areas of the island. Great location for exploring the more quiet/lush north side of the island.

Cozy place to stay. It is a little far away from some of the attractions of Kona. But fairly close to some of the best beaches I found on the island. My family and I enjoyed our stay.

Owners met us with a smile, the check in and out process was simple and hassle free. They had a lot of knowledge of the local area and activities, the early morning paddle with the canoe club was great. The location is just a few blocks from all the shopping and activities Hawi has. I highly recommend staying here if your trip includes Hawi.

The place was perfect for a quiet getaway with my best friend. It was so serene and away from all of the tourists/resort sites which made it much more peaceful. Betty and Larry were so sweet kind and helpful, will definitely stay again when visiting the big island.

First I want to thsnk the host for the incredible hospitality. I would rate this host as one of the VERY best in the VRBO community.The unit is comfortable with 2 good size bedrooms, each with a queen bed. The kitchen is very functional for my families needs. If you need a gormet kitchen look elsewhere. The location was perfect for us though might not be for families that need to be in the thick of the islands city activities. For our needs this was a gem. We could walk into Hawi and have a coffee or ice cream and poke in and out of the art galleries.I would recommend this host and unit to a friend planning a trip to the big island.

The Skinner’s were delightful hosts that were extremely helpful allowing us to enjoy our family time and maximizing our time on the Big Island! They shared their island secrets and top places to go to easily. Our son enjoyed the snorkeling and beach selections making for an over all great time. They had fresh fruit and snacks available as we arrived and made us feel we were at home. The common comment was, ‘relax, you’re on vacation!’ (Ask what is available as their kitchen is well stocked!) Best hosts ever.

We've been to this area of the Big Island for many years. This place is in an excellent location near all that Hawi has to offer. The rental is well maintained and cheerful and bright. We would not hesitate to go here again. In fact we will be back after Christmas!
