Relaxing!

We stayed here for five nights with our family. There were so many great things about the house. It’s in a beautiful, more rural area with a nice sized yard. The wrap around porch is great, and there were so many fun beach toys for the kids (boogey boards, sand castle toys, some water shoes, etc). The house was clean and the kitchen nicely updated. Some of the pans were in need of replacement, but everything else was great. The washer and dryer worked fine. The house is tastefully decorated and the towels seemed new. The queen bed was nice and comfortable.Things we liked the least:The king size bed—it was pretty uncomfortable—not sure if it’s old or just bad. It makes lots of noise anytime you move and the springs are very noticeable. One of the twin beds was uncomfortable, as well.The pillows were very flat—even using two stacked was quite uncomfortable.The rooster farm—not sure if this was part of the property or a neighbors. This property does not have air conditioning, so if it is hot at night and you have the windows open, you’ll definitely hear the large numbers of roosters. If you keep the windows closed, it’s not a problem!One bathroom—we had a group of 7, so it was challenging, at times.Overall, I would recommend it! Especially if the king bed was changed!

Good location

The location of the property was close to the shoreline, and close to several awesome beaches, no matter which way you headed (North or South). There are roosters next to the property that you can hear nice & early, but there are chickens all over Hawaii so this was no surprise. It should be noted that the neighbors are unique, I wish someone had reviewed that part - they're respectful but unique to the neighborhood. The house was comfortable and in a good middle location between so many things, so overall it was a good stay!

Great stay! Tranquil and spacious!

We stayed with our 3 kids on our Oahu vacation. It was bigger than we anticipated and it was nice to have space for the kids to play and relax in-between vacation activities. Having beach towel and beach toys was a nice bonus!

Family vacation

This property was fine with a few exceptions. Terrible alarm system. Electricity went off twice for 6 plus hours each time during our 9 day stay. Dryer went out while we were there. Also, termites so bad kids bedroom was unusable. We made the most of it and ultimately had a good time but may choose something else next time.

Awesome place to stay!

This property was so nice, it was very spacious all around with everything. It had a washer & dryer available to use. It was away from the city, overall quiet besides the morning roosters, but that’s your alarm. The person in charge was super nice & would respond right away. The only issue I had was that some of the blinds wouldn’t close all the way in one of the bedrooms. But super nice place, we had 7 people in our party.

Nice little house with lovely lanai

We enjoyed the house and its great porch and yard. Decorated and clean. We were short one towel, and a couple of the smoke detectors needed batteries, but other than that, a great experience. The house is deep in a neighborhood, but you can watch the sun rise over the neighbor with the ocean in the background. Lots of roosters but you quit hearing them after the first day - they fade right into the ambience! We would stay here again. We liked Hauula very much.

Loved the property!

We really enjoyed our stay at this property! The home is cute and updated - we loved the large porch, especially in the mornings! We liked that we were secluded and didn't mind the sounds of the rooster wake up calls. The home is close to a handful of beaches and not a bad drive to the North Shore. It is also a 15 minute drive from the Cultural Center/Market and a lot of great food trucks. Overall we loved our stay!

Great stay

We had a terrific time. The house was just what we were looking for. Plenty of room for everyone and clean and well kept. There was everything you could need for the beach also, towels, beach blankets, boogie boards, umbrellas. We enjoyed our stay and would come back and stay again.

Beautiful home that was perfect for our stay

The home was quite a drive away from the airport but the drive was absolutely breathtaking. The community is representative of the island. We were among the local people at every establishment and beach we visited, which we completely enjoyed. The home has a wrap around porch with a table and some chairs to enjoy the views. It also has a nice yard that my kids played in. There were umbrellas and some beach toys and chairs. I had previously thought the home did not have extras so we rented our own prior to arriving at the home. There are chickens and a horse that frequently visit the property. Our favorite beach was the Malaekahana Beach. It’s heading toward Laie, right after the horse pasture and before you get to Laie. There were restrooms and showers. The water was great for boogie boarding. Long beaches which was perfect for the 13 year old and the 5 year old. We visited the Kahuku Sugar Mill. There is a famous food truck there. We did not eat at that food truck but did patronize the local skate board business as well as several other food trucks in the area. Highly recommend this area for one of your dinners. We also bought food at the Longs Drug Store which was right down the street. On our check out day, we cruised around the north shore and attended the Toa Luau inside the Waimea Valley Falls. FANTASTIC. Highly recommend! There were a few minor issues that I contacted the management company about (make sure you get instructions on how to work the home alarm system!) but nothing that would keep me from booking this home over and over again!

Comfortable and clean

Nice little place. Had a hard time finding it as there was no street number. Kind of noisy with chickens, but otherwise it was great.

Over all we really enjoyed our stay.

We really enjoyed staying here. The property was really nice and in a great location for what we needed. The only down side was that the house always smelled funny, but that wasnt really a problem. We would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for a nice place to stay.

Best Hawaii vacation like a local

Cozy little neighborhood. So calm and safe. Loved waking up to the roosters and in the morning seeing the local horse grazing on the property with the chickens. Beautiful sunrise between coconut trees on the east and avocado trees and mountains on the west. Just perfect if you want to avoid the city and touristy environment.

nice improvements, but missed out on receiving the box of chocolates this time. The garbage cans had not been placed out far enough on the road so they hadn't picked up last weeks. Be sure to get the cans close to the road. Check out the cool hiking loop trail just down the road, great view overlooking the the town. If anybody likes roasted roosters you are in for a real treat.

This was a great house, clean and spacious, loved the privacy, nice walk to the beach, great new kitchen with everything we needed. We have stayed in Waikiki on 5 previous vacations and this was a really nice treat to get away from the crowds
