"Loved our stay in a premium OTW bungalow. Amazing swimming in deep warm water. Good snorkeling. There were kayaks, paddle boards and snorkeling gear available for use by the guests for free. Staff were very friendly, kind and provided great service. Food in the restaurant was ok, cocktails and drinks were better. Overall, good value and some of the best swimming we’ve experienced straight off our bungalow. "

"My husband and I booked a garden room with a private pool, and we loved the privacy and comfort. The check in staff member as not too happy on our arrival, but her mood did not affect our stay. I would recommend this property to anyone traveling to Moorea. Next time I would like to stay at an over water room. It must be amazing to check out the ocean life during the night. "

"We stayed in three different bungalows. Our favorite was the beach view just west of the overwater rooms. You're steps from the beach and that glorious water but away from minimal crowds. Our least favorite was the ocean view to the east of the overwaters. The overwater bungalows are directly in front of you and the water. There's no beach to speak of here and the water is almost too shallow to swim in. Staff overall was very friendly and helpful. The main attraction for the Sofitel is the water. Amazing snorkeling, incredible wildlife, and never too busy. "

"Room is neat and modern; good layout. Bed is really comfy. Right out front is a good pool that I didn't use but I did do lots of snorkeling right out front of that which was excellent. Lots of coral and fish and some turtles too. Nice restaurant on site but we had a car and tried a bunch of the nearby ones also which were also great."

"We spent 5 nights at niu beach hotel, this property was nicely decorated, clean and new, the studio spaces are well thought out for 2. We found it very helpful having a kitchenette for when we couldn’t book in at some of the busier local restaurants, and a small supermarket just a bike ride away. The kayaks were fun, and it was nice to snorkel straight from the beach. We were told the area was known for turtles, but they were elusive for us. The staff were very helpful and kind. The local tours that we took would pick us up from the hotel. Speaking french will help you in Moorea, but is definitely not required. "

"The bungalows were right by the beach. Beautiful clear blue, warm water. Service was great. The restaurant was friendly and nice to have so close for convenience. Would definitely stay there again. "

"The hotel has bungalows and the restaurant is on the water. It is located directly on the beach in a very nice bay. The restaurant is very good but breakfast is too expensive for the food offered. You need a car to reach it from the airport or the harbor, and to move around the island. No public transportation and taxis are quite expensive."
