The location was very central in Iceland so getting to spectacular views in the Golden Circle was very quick and even pretty easy to get to further destinations like Vik. "So it’s my twins 21st birthday and I wanted to do something memorable. So I took them to Iceland and stayed at an amazing VRBO. Here are my top 3 reasons for 5 stars: 1. Location - it’s in a town that’s close to some of the main geologic attractions in Iceland (Gulfoss, the south coast, etc.). The town also has a supermarket and some surprisingly good restaurants (even a mushroom farmer who has a family restaurant). 2. The quality of the VRBO. Plenty of room for 5 adults in a new neighborhood...

"We couldn't of ask for anything better! Perfect location, out in the country yet close to horseback riding and white water rafting. A cute store near by and Secret Lagoon less than 10 minutes away. The house was so cozy and stocked with all sorts of cooking supplies. The deck and the hot tub were great. The host was awesome and shared with us places to visit and restaurants to try. Absolutely loved everything."

"The cabin is cozy and well appointed. We had several problems that were taken care of as soon as was feasible. It is Iceland, so they are very helpful, and did come up with temporary fixes in some cases. Some things do take longer than in the U.S. I would stay there again for sure. The location is a bit off when trying to find it, the links on VRBO do need to be attended to. I think there are 3 different ones. We drove around awhile before finding it by the pictures. "This cottage was a great place to stay while exploring the golden circle. It is in a very quiet area, away from city lights for a better chance to see the northern lights. "Karl and his wife were very accommodating—there was a problem with the original property we booked with them, so they offered us a bigger and nicer cottage for the same price. It was in a very remote area, which we loved. Very cozy, and the hot tub was lovely. Communication was great as well. Thanks very much!!"

"Sehr schöne Hütte mit Terrasse in Hanglage mit wundervoller Aussicht. (Allerdings nicht auf den Geysir.) Zum Geysir sollte man, trotz der Nähe, mit dem Auto fahren. Zum Einchecken brauchten wir den Chat von Expedia, weil wir nicht in das Haus kamen. Das hat dann aber doch alles wunderbar funktioniert und der Vermieter hat sich sofort bei uns gemeldet. Klare Empfehlung für dieses Haus. "

"Consider yourself lucky if the property is available for your stay. This home was absolutely stunning, phenomenal location, beautifully appointed, and the hosts were spectacular! Not being familiar with the areas/distances, this home couldn't be more perfect to explore the Golden Circle, and even our day trip to Vik! We especially loved how cozy the house was - for the evenings. The kitchen is fantastic, and has a full stock of spices. The beds are incredibly comfortable, as is the living room....
