"The rooms are small and minimalist but that's OK as they get everything else right. The rooms were spotless, the property was beautifully kept and the price of booking was affordable. The attached restaurant had excellent and affordable food, in fact we noticed that many of its patrons were locals. The location being 20 minutes from the airport was a nice added bonus. "

"Sir Angel’s Guesthouse started as a longtime Belizean family home, and it is even named after the patriarch, Angel. Communication while booking was timely and accurate. Upon arrival, my booked ride from the airport was prompt, and the driver gave me a local tour en route to the Guesthouse! "Nice rooms and staff. Great restaurant near by and walking path along the water. And easy walk to the big nice museum. Nice patio to enjoy the birds and ocean breeze. Big hotel across the street under construction but noise is over by 6 pm. Our 4th time staying here and we will be back the next time we visit Belize."

"There was a staff member there that was very rude to us upon checking in and when my family and I wanted to go out and come back in, he refused to move his vehicle for us to park. We cannot park on the side street so we wanted to use the parking lot at that point. I had to contact the manager. We were supposed to be provided breakfast. There was none. I don’t think I would come back here when I’m in the city again."

Regarding reviews about location, most travelers know Belize City is a jumping off point to get to the islands, one nights stay is sometimes required for connecting flights and water taxi. "Great location and the grounds are beautiful and well kept. Rooms are super spacious and the neighborhood seems very safe. There’s a restaurant around the corner if you need to grab something to eat and easy location for pick ups for excursions or trips to airport or dock if you need to go to any of the islands. Sheridian was super sweet and helpful when we checked in. I wish the pool stayed open a bit later but other than that we enjoyed our stay. Already recommended to some future visitors."
