Island Time is an enchanting oceanfront cottage perfect for couples

  • This charming cottage is the perfect getaway in the Outer Banks, especially for couples. Located in the quiet village of Hatteras, far from the tourist crowds of northern OBX, it offers a peaceful tranquility by the ocean.

Enjoy the views from the rooftop deck; see the mesmerizing ocean and dolphins playing on the surface of the water during the day. Enjoy a drink and view the most amazing sunsets in the evening. Bright stars accompany the nights from this vantage point.

Island Time is a free-standing cottage on stilts with parking for one vehicle underneath. The cottage is small so we have tried to maximize the space in an efficient yet tasteful way. The bed has a new Serta Perfect Sleeper mattress with a gel mattress topper. It's comfy! Linens are provided.

Beach chairs, beach umbrella and body boards are provided so you can immediately enjoy the warm sunshine on the beach. Bath towel sets are provided. Please bring your own beach towels.

The kitchen is well-stocked so you'll have what you need to prepare meals. Charcoal grills and picnic tables are provided on the grounds for those of you who grill-masters. Local restaurants are known for their great-tasting fresh seafood.

Wifi is provided so you can stream movies or TV shows on the smart TV from your favorite entertainment platforms.

No pets allowed unless you seek our prior approval.

We are new owners and we love this little oceanfront cottage. We're anxious for you to experience all the reasons we love the Outer Banks!

The property feels private. Very pretty rooftop deck. Right at the ocean. Lots of amenities. It was very nice not to have to pack sheets, bath towels, plates, silverware, and pans! Cute decor.

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay. We had never been to the Outer Banks before and it didn’t disappoint. The cabana is small, but it works well for two people. We had everything we needed during our stay. The unit was very clean and we loved that we could just park right underneath. Highly recommended for a couple’s getaway.

Perfect

Great location on the farthest reaches of OBX, and the little cabana colony is a great place to stay with a short set of stairs over the dune to the beach. The cabana is big enough to offer all that a couple needs for a comfortable stay, and we enjoyed the artwork on the walls.

Great location and amenities perfect for a couple and maybe a child if okay with sleeping on couch or air mattress. Already booked for a week next summer! We look forward to future upgrades to the stove, back screen door, and the bathroom. The tub didn’t drain well and the toilet seat has visible wear and tear plus an outdated vanity but not a show stopper by any means! Overall we enjoyed our stay. Nice furniture to relax outside and parking under the cabana was convenient.

Great location! The place was a bit worn and needed some updates compared to others around it. Was generally clean but quite a bit of dust near the door and under couch. It’s a rental so to be expected..overall good but have had better

Very responsive owners. Only thing i did not know was that dogs and smoking was allowed and the 5am barking dogwakeup's were not cool.Smoking wasnt bad until last 2 days when people smoking on their decks and wind blowing toward us.Right on a beautiful uncrowded beach, with wash station and the sound of the waves crashing all day was amazing.Owners of all rentals need to join Alabama Beaches and start requiring all exterior lighting to be dark sky certified and ones that face the beach green or red.

The view was excellent and the beach access was among the best of any on the beach. The nice thing of the cabanas is you don’t hear anyone stomping around over your head or around you. No loud music or noise of any kind. I plan on going back next year and will stay in the same place

Quaint and Great!

House was located about 300 yards from the beach, the community had its own entrance to the beach. Walked up to the third deck and was able to see the ocean and just sit outside on the bistro table. Covered parking was convenient and it was located super close to the grocery store, coffee shop and the ferry to Ocracoke Island. Overall it was a great place to stay, highly recommend!
