"This is a lovely little retreat with a communal feel. Owners are very friendly and helpful. There are two guest houses, each with several bedrooms, a kitchen, and a living/dining area. This made it feel very homey, which I really appreciated. It was great having a kitchen with a large fridge! A large communal outdoor area with several small tables, and a large communal dining table allowed me to eat and converse with other guests daily. "We arrive late, they could not find our reserve, the bed was smaller than reserved. There was not drinking water in the room (they provided later after claim it). The watchman was always with a gun (I really don't like this). There was not water in the bathroom in the morning."

"The owner reached out to me as soon as I made my reservation. I was able to text him with questions before and after our arrival. The staff greeted us and made sure we were comfortable for the evening. My kids loved that we were staying in a "castle". The experience is very different from staying in a traditional hotel. Very much a bed and breakfast and would be a great location for a family reunion or wedding party. All-in-all we felt safe, secure, attended-to and slept great. We will stay...

"The room was very spacious and clean. It was a little odd that there weren’t numbers by the door so you need to remember which room is yours but nothing too major. We had a late flight that day from Santo Domingo and Bartolomeo let us check out late and enjoy a full day at Las Galeras. Would definitely stay again if I were to return to Las Galeras!"

"Pro: Very well located. About 20 meters from the beach. The place and room were as advertised. The next door restaurants (both) are really nice and their owners make you feel like family. Con: breakfast wasn’t included (yet the listing said it was) and the parking facilities left much to be desired. In fact discovered someone gifted me with a fender bender / hit and run while parked there."
