"This was a return visit to Le Refuge, having stayed there 3 years previously. The owners remembered us and on arrival were offered 'coffee and cake'! This visit was just as memorable as the first with the hosts being the best. The property is superbly located being a short distance from the center of Hasselt. "The hotel is fine, but getting in is a bit of a maze. We also received an email the day before telling us we could park on site and they would validate our parking. We came to leave to get parking validated and they said they didn't do that, we have to pay. The fact I had an email from them saying otherwise didn't seem to matter and they showed no concern this email gets sent as standard and had no interest when I suggested changing it. Restaurant on base floor with a small number of small but very functional rooms on upper floors. There is no elevator. If stairs are a challenge come for the food and biergarten. "
