"Staff were very friendly and welcoming and the family room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast had a good selection of both hot and cold options and the food tasted great. 15 minute drive on quiet roads to Longleat which was main purpose of our weekend. "

"The room was small and that was okay. But within the bedroom and bathroom, there was a single outlet for plugging in my computer and/or other electronics."

"So glad we found this place to stay, great value. Our room was clean and comfortable with everything we needed for our stay, tea,coffee,bottled water and biscuits. Every member of staff we met was cheerful and friendly and service in restaurant and bar very efficient. Breakfast with choice days and there is a buffet at the weekend. We ate in the restaurant two evenings, good value and lots of choice. Home made tasty food. On Friday there was also a carvery and pie night. In the grounds there is a great children’s play park, we didn’t need that but it looked great for families. We will definitely stop here again for a meal when travelling that way or for a stay. "We were catching up with friends and family in Yeovil. We hadn't been to Yeovil for about 10 years and didn't recognise the town. Lots of renovation going on which will make it more modern. Even the weather was good .We wont leave it that long next time ."

"Bit mixed… room for the price was very good value but a bit dated, towel radiator was on full and had made the room extremely hot had to get manager to turn off as both plastic tap caps were broke. Bed…very comfortable but could have done with lighter quilt, Food… excellent!!! Service…. excellent!! Breakfast (continental)…. excellent Staff… excellent all of them!!"

"Excellent hotel in the centre of Blandford Forum. The Crown has attractive period features and our room was tastefully decorated and very comfortable. The staff were pleasant and attentive. The breakfast was excellent. There is ample onsite parking."
