"This property is beyond special and like no place we've ever stayed before. Not only is the drive to it AMAZING, but the property itself has a picturesque setting of free range grazing land and views of the sea. Such a welcoming environment and home... including a handwritten note from the property manager. The home has a lovely decor with modern conveniences... but also has a feel of stepping back in time. As charming as can be!!! Rabbits, birds, cows, sheep are all around this area and property, as well as several gorgeous Isle of Skye landmarks. We were teary eyed upon arrival, as well as when time to leave. Just that special of a place! Could not recommend this property more highly!"

"Doune Braes is very close to the Callanish standing stones, which makes it a super convenient location if the stones are on your itinerary! Everyone working at Doune Braes was extremely kind and helpful and the food (I had dinner and breakfast) was delicious. It is not a fancy accommodation, but the rooms are clean, spacious, and safe. Highly recommended if you are visiting Lewis and want to see the Callanish stones, particularly at sunrise or sunset!"

"We’re repeat visitors to this lovely house and it never disappoints. It’s warm, comfortable, well equipped? quiet and in a super location. Would thoroughly recommend. It’s an easy walk to beautiful beaches and the Temple and an easy drive to even more beautiful beaches. Beautiful views across the Northton salt flats to the Harris hills/luskentyre. 5 minute drive to Leverburgh for shops/restaurant/ferry to Berneray."

Spacious enough for the teenager and the pre-teen to be separated and mum and dad to have some space to chill out! Lovely wee beach just at the end of the road and the host also manage to provide lovely sunny weather for us!"
