"I stayed at the Anker a few times after my apartment was sold. Not only was it the most economical option for private rooms in Leeuwarden, but also for all of Nederland. Amenities vary by room type, but had a good stay in all the room types I tried. Excellent location in the center of Ljouwert. "

"Pros: Very helpful staff, excellent breakfast, easy parking, good location, lucky to find any accommodation at all as it was the last room available on the island. Cons: We apparently booked a "budget room" although we paid 300 Euros for 2 nights. Toilet and showers were across the corridor and not private. The room was terribly hot and noisy in the morning when early birds packed their cars. "
