"This is an interesting place! The room was clean and comfortable, you just need to bring your own toiletries. The property has a lot of space to lounge and hang out, including nice outdoor tables to enjoy the sunset, and even has an indoor shuffleboard table. The staff was very nice and will make you eggs for breakfast. The property was great for hiking in Snowdonia. The property has a bit of a long driveway so it's not very walkable to restaurants/food stores but it's a very short drive to get food. "

"My stay at The Oakeley Arms Hotel in Blaenau Ffestiniog was truly the highlight of my time in Wales. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel so welcome—friendly, attentive, and even greeting me by name (perhaps I stood out as a solo female traveler!). Their warmth and hospitality set the tone for the entire visit. The hotel restaurant was an unexpected delight. Coming from the U.S., I was blown away by the quality, flavor, and generous portions of every meal. Everything I tried was absolutely delicious—so much so that I felt guilty not finishing it all! Be sure to leave room for dessert; each one is divine and worth the indulgence. My room had a comfortable single bed that was perfect for me. The space was surprisingly large and the bathroom was lovely—clean, well-kept, and thoughtfully appointed. Thank you, Oakeley Arms, for such a wonderful experience. You made this solo traveler feel right at home. I can genuinely say this was my best stay in Wales!"

"We were running late and I called and told them that we were going to be later than expected and the girl was so nice she told us that it was okay they were going to wait for us, we finally got there after 11pm and they were there waiting for us, she said they were concerned because of the road and it was raining and misty, they were so nice and friendly and the gentleman helped bringing our luggage upstairs. I give them 10/10. "

"On site parking, managed to get a space which was good. The hotel is nice and clean. Room was small but good enough for 1 person. It had a chair and a luggage holder as well as multiple hooks on the wall + hangers which was convenient. It also had a smart TV which was good as some hotels don’t. So I was able to log into my Netflix account and watch my shows. (Remember to sign out if you do this) :) It’s close to plenty of shops and restaurants which is good as they’re within walking distance. I got room service and the food was delicious! (Specifically the Margarita Pizza + Sticky Toffee Pudding dessert). "
