"Although the reception, library room and breakfast area were fine this hotel is in need of renovation. We stayed two nights and found the staff to be friendly and helpful. Especially Julia on the front desk. Our beds were large and comfortable but the room was dated with taps not working and the toilet hard to flush. Breakfast was adequate. "Friendly staff and spacious rooms, there is a great attention to detail with all the services we used. We didn’t use the restaurant but the bar staff were very high on service and make beautiful cocktails. There is a lovely bar on the top floor with views over the marina. Nice big comfortable bed in our room. The bathrooms are smart, the only criticism is that the temperature of the shower was a bit erratic. It’s nice that there is a safe and a kettle with tea and coffee also adequate plug sockets and access to WiFi. I would stay again if I can get a discounted rate. The car park was a bit pricey at £32 for 2 nights although it was very handy."

"We had a pleasant stay. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a short visit. Pleasantly surprised with a room upgrade with views of the Cathedral on the 3rd floor. The breakfast was good, with a nice selection to start the day, and the overall experience. Parking was easy and plenty onsite. Just for future reference, when travelling in the summer months, for foreign travellers, there is no air-conditioning. You will be provided with a fan. If you're looking for a clean, comfortable, this is a solid choice."

"The White Hart is ideally placed at the top of Steep Hill with easy access to the castle and cathedral. There are several restaurants within easy walking distance in addition to the hotel's own a la carte and bar food menus. The shower and other plumbing were excellent which was all the more impressive given the age of the hotel and it's location at such an elevation. The negative of our stay was the oppressive heat in our room despite the two fans provided. Planning restrictions prevent the installation of air conditioning. We were there during a minor heat wave, (25 / 26 degrees), I feel for those staying in those rooms when the temperature is even higher. We never ate at the hotel restaurant other than for breakfast which was very good, great fruit selection. The service was a bit disorganised however, there were plenty of staff available but perhaps the kitchen struggled to meet the demand with the facilities available."

"The hotel was ideally located a few miles out of Lincoln off a main road so was easy to find. The staff were really friendly and helpful and our room was conveniently located on the ground floor. There was no air con but we did have a fan which helped in the warm weather. A couple of stains on the carpet and a really dirty shower head could do with addressing. We eat in Damon’s Restaurant for dinner and breakfast and the staff were really helpful (apart from An initial massive overcharge on a drinks bill which they did sort for us) food was great - American diner type food 👍"
