"Property manager forgot to send code for key safe. Managed to get it indirectly by email but no easy contact was forthcoming thereafter. Street door lock cheap and worn. Next door to lobby broken and taped up. Lobby not been cleaned for weeks. Cheap lock on door to apartment. Security practically non existent. Six windows (2 in living room,2 in each bedroom) screwed shut.Not safe , awaiting replacement. Only window that opened for ventilation in kitchen.If open possible to step directly into...

"I booked last minute for a cycle event in the area, the directions were easy to follow, if you screenshot them as advised, phone signal is poor to non existent (bliss) The Meadow View Hut is clean cozy and well appointed, the fire burns very warm so one of the provided logs at a time. If you can’t be bothered with the hassle of the fire, the heating is plenty on its own. Falstone is a great staging post for Kielder Forest, and there’s plenty of adventurous things to do near by, endless walks...

"Spotlessly clean, very spacious apartment,design decor very good . Tiny things to mention - property is actually called “ Wagonway” not “ Old Workhouse “ so can confuse when locating it . Would be good if enough dishwasher tabs were supplied - as a say tiny things"

"A very comfortable and convenient property right next to Alnwick Castle with everything you needed for a great holiday. A great place for just being able to wander and walk round Alnwick. A few minutes to Alnwick Gardens, The Castle, Barter Books. Good pubs and restaurants right on your doorstep, we would recommend the Tanners Arms for a good beer and make sure you eat at Lilburns which is just great food. Easy for touring the Northumbrian coast. Visit both Howick Gardens on the way to Craster...

"We have stayed at St Cuthberts Retreat a number of times now. The property is clean, well-appointed and we like the location, which is close to The Cheviots for hiking, has great golf in the area (The Roxburghe, Goswick, Linden Hall for example) and lots of interesting places to visit. In fact we always come away wishing we had more time there! Thoroughly recommended - we certainly intend to return."
