Beautiful location and wonderful staff. Was disappointed to pay a resort fee when the restaurant and bar were closed for renovations, the hot tub jets were not working, and the shuttle was out of service 2 of the 4 days we were there. The location was a little remote but downtown Hanalei is not too far and worth the drive. Princeville is not a bad drive either to visit. Would definitely stay again. Loved the resident cat, Leo.

Our 2 Rooms were very outdated, restaurant closed so being located so far from town you really noticed that. Location beautiful, renovated pool is gorgeous, office staff helpful, made arriving at midnight convenient with a lockbox. Coffee shop really nice feature to have, could use more snack or small meal options while restaurant closed. Walking distance to the state park and famous trail but guests should be made aware that to enter that park a permit must be purchased 30 days in advance. It’s why we chose this location so we were heartbroken to learn we couldn’t hike there.

Our stay was perfect. The staff at HCR made us feel very welcome and at home. The after hours check in was super easy too! The room (D1) we had overlooked the entire courtyard to the ocean. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils, dishes and pots and pans. I would say if you are considering preparing a lot of your own food, bring a sharp knife. We also would suggest replacing the dustpan in D1. The room was clean, well maintained and very comfortable. The coffee shop was also a real treat. Wonderful people making wonderful coffee and lots of beautiful artwork to peruse as well. We sampled the pool, hot tub, the coffee house, the secret restaurant that we will never forget. It was truly an unforgettable experience. The staff on the resort were all kind, welcoming and gracious with their time. The beach….. it was beautiful the entire time. Whether it was raining and windy or warm and sunny, everyday the beach delivered. We cannot wait to go back!! Thank you HCR!!

We had an ocean view condominium, and the views of the ocean were amazing from every window. We slept wonderfully listening to the sound of the ocean. The complex is peaceful and quiet, just the sound of the ocean. There is a full kitchen. Although we should have been informed that the restaurant on site was closed.

If you are looking to relax, this is the place. Beautiful view & sound of the ocean. The massage at the spa on premises is life changing. There is also a coffee shop & a restaurant so there is no need to leave this oasis in paradise.

Beautiful 'end of road' location. Great amenities with the swimming pool and hot tub. Staff is warm and welcoming. Having a shuttle available to take to local beaches and Hanalei is a great amenity.

Spectacular location. This place is not for everyone. It's miles from restaurants, shopping, television. But what it does have, it has in spades. It's on the ocean, close to some of the worlds finest beaches. Beauty abounds. It has wifi, a pool, laundry and a staff that cares. It also has a shuttle that can get you to restaurants and shopping. Guests return for generations. Not my first time.

Great spot to get away from everything. It’s amazing how the rest of Kauai has got so busy over the years but this area remains quiet. The people staying here are all fairly chilled out too.

Absolutely gorgeous property, amazing view, incredibly friendly and welcoming staff. Highly recommend for a low-key, island-vibe retreat. Provides shuttle service to town, any restaurants to choose from.

We stayed here for our honeymoon and it was absolutely PERFECT! The staff is so nice and amazing. Everything was clean and the cats made everything even better! We loved the fact that we could go into the ocean and then straight into the hot tub. We will definitely be back every time were on the island! It was a dream!

What an amazing step back in time! This resort is low key but has everything you need! Shuttle service was easy to setup. Staff treated you like family. No TV and no AC were not a problem. Cool breezes through windows and ample ceiling fans. Kitchen was perfect! I would definitely stay here again!
