"The cottage is all that we had hoped for and more. It’s beautiful and clean and as stated, cozy. The river and ponds were an added bonus. It was so peaceful and relaxing. It felt like we were in a different world. We hated for the week to end. The owners were very kind and assisted when needed. We couldn’t have asked for a better week. "

"Would recommend to anyone. Host went out of their way . Lots of surprises. pastries, cheese, and wine waiting for us when we got there. Bags were very very comfortable. Location was perfect for all any winery that you can imagine to take time out to go visit. Home was very cozy. Very comfortable. Will come back again."

"My daughter and I took a weekend "girl's" trip. We wanted to visit Emerald Hollow Mine. I took a chance and stayed at this lovely property instead of staying in a hotel. "This cottage turned out to be an ideal location for our 51st anniversary stay. Our historic site destinations were just 30-40 mins away. It provided a very relaxing and restful place to stay after our tiring days activities. Sharon was easy to work with and quick to respond to questions. "We booked this property on a mission to go to Emerald Hollow Mine. The cottage was absolutely perfect for our needs. Everyone kept saying it was one of the best stocked rentals we've been to. Plenty of seasonings which is a rare find with rentals! We enjoyed the porch and firepit. Would definitely rent again when we go back!"

We spent hours on the foosball and ping-pong tables with our kids, and loved all the activities at the house and around the area. "We really enjoyed our stay. It was exactly what we wanted! We felt isolated from the world but had enough to do around us that kept us thoroughly entertained. The hot tub wasn’t one of those run down ones, it was nice, fancy, and worked like a charm. The grill needed cleaning but that’s usually the case with most rental grills. It also came with all ware so we didn’t need to bring anything except charcoal, light fluid, and firewood/kindling for the fire."

"Location is perfect. We parked on Friday and did not touch the car until Sunday. Reeves Theater is awesome venue for music. Also caught a band at Railyard Beer Garden. Walk to Angry troll, also a fun spot, is short. Many trails and the Elkin Vine Line for wineries is top notch. Property lacks a working elevator but otherwise is very clean and effcient. Rooftop is also a extra nice touch. "
