"Lorna and her family are beautiful people. The Gemstones Property is high on a hill overlooking the most beautiful beach (Cross Bay) During our stay we basically had the beach to ourselves. The walk to beach from Gemstones is fairly steep but there are two other routes. It’s not an issue to sway a decision to stay here. We stayed 10 days and our taxi driver Belinda who is a beautiful person stopped in route to gemstone from airport at supermarket so we could buy food, beer and wine etc. We...

"Fantastic location in the village, beautiful view of Mangrove Bay. Very clean with amenities close by. As well, the bus is across the street to take you to Hamilton or Dockyard. Jody is a wonderful host and very attentive. We’ve stayed here 2 years in a row and look forward to returning again. Highly recommend."

"It was just me staying for a couple nights before getting on a boat. There is a bus stop 3 houses away from the property. A walking path along the ocean which was amazing. Swizzle Inn only a mile away......I walked! The place is perfect for a couple or single. Has everything you need and then some!"

"The studio is fully equipped and is well stocked including kitchen basics, toiletries and towels. Gail and Chris are easy going hosts, point you in the right direction and don’t hover. "This property is a gem! Spotless, well maintained with a million dollar view. So peaceful and only a 10 minute walk to P.O., grocery, gas, pizza place and the bus route. We stayed four nights and thought it was the ideal location. The apartment was super clean and well appointed with super soft sheets and lush thick towels. The host, Wayne is a encyclopedia of local knowledge and very genial. We listened to the birds by day and the tree frogs at night. Just lovely, we would stay here again!"

The studio is attached to a beautiful house in the middle of the island, near south shore beaches, with good access to the city of Hamilton. The gardens and pool are lush. "Wendell greeted us warmly. We arrived a bit early from airport. The grounds were tidy. The actual room was older, needing some updates. There were some leftover personal care item’s left in a bathroom drawer with a chunk of old dried up bread. But bathroom was clean otherwise. Floors were clean which is important. The a/c worked well. We typically spend very little time in our room, we are not real particular. We would possibly stay again for future visits."

The yard is unreal, 270 degree water views, your own beach basically, take the kayak out the little islands during low tide.. you can pull up on a deserted beach and walk in the ocean. Great host. Did fire pit every night. Can walk to woodys (so much fun) and the restaurants at Cambridge resort, we also walked to the market, to a local gym, wine store, didn’t even use the bus. I couldn’t complain about any minor thing if there were any, with a view like that.. spectacular"
