"Our stay at Pierre and Martine's farmhouse was wonderful! The view from the backyard out into the pasture's is breathtaking and the kindness shown to us and our family was delightful. We enjoyed day trips to Brugge, Chimay, Dinant, Namur, and Bastogne. Also, don't miss Maresous Abbey a short ride away."

"We are Canadians coming to the area for the Armistice observance in Ypres, and also to visit Mons, Ghent and Bruges. We found the location very convenient to visit these places. As well, the cottage was well-equipped and comfortable, with excellent parking. Additionally, the host was very quick to respond when we had questions, and met us punctually when we arrived. We couldn’t have asked for more."

We felt completely at home right from the beginning when the owners met us at the door to show us around. The location is fantastic and made it easy to get to numerous locations in Belgium. "The property is down a lane in a very rural location about 2Kms outside Rance and it is about as tranquil and relaxing as you could imagine with just the distant baa ing of the sheep for company. The bedrooms and bathroom and toilet are downstairs with the living accommodation and patio upstairs which works very well. We absolutely loved it and were blessed with fine weather. To note the downstairs toilet is very compact."

With green pastures and sitting areas to enjoy, beautiful animals including horses and dogs, as well as the most friendly hosts you could want, this home was ideal for our trip. We enjoyed our stay, and it was easy to venture out to surrounding cities such as Brussels, Bruges and Charleroi. We definitely would stay here again! Ellen"

"Het verblijf was ideaal voor een gezellig weekendje weg met de familie. Wij hebben gebruik gemaakt van de grote oven om lasagne te eten en crocjes te maken. Het weer viel helaas niet zo goed mee, maar op korte autoritjes was er voldoende aanbod om toch iets te beleven. Bv: Neptunusgrotten en Stoomtrein. De toegang tot 1 slaapkamer hebben we gegeven aan degenen die in de nacht niet naar het toilet moeten :). De deur kwam namelijk half uit op de trap."

"We booked our trip the day before as a last minute break. Sabine is a wonderful host who made us feel very welcome and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. The gite is very close to the Belgian border and we visited several historic sites as well as a brewery tour. Would highly recommend as a base for anyone wishing to explore Passchendale, Ypres and other WW1 places of interest. Thank you Sabine, we very much enjoyed our stay."

"The property is very spacious and very much the traditional french/belgian country style. Rooms were big, great for a large family like ours. The private pool and hot tub were the star attractions, gorgeous and very clean and inviting. Sergio was easy to deal with and the process was very straightforward. We would definitely stay here again for a nice break, our week summer holiday here was wonderful."

"Very strange "kitchen" with a stove put on top of what was a bar and is extremely high. No extraction hood so its mpossible to cook. Bathroom without window or extraction fan. Constant noise right outside the door. The ad says the owner speaks French and English but they don't speak a word of English. We did not see the super well equipped place mentioned in other reviews. We do not recommend this place."

"Great communication from Julie from the very beginning of the booking process. The house is located on a canal with endless walking and running routes. Great local brasseries for dinner, Louvre Lens is 30 min away. Charlie our dog had an amazing time and is currently fast asleep and shattered. Can definitely recommend if you are looking for a location less than a hour from Calais"
