"We had a wonderful stay as two couples on a trip together at Kupu Kupu - everyone was so lovely and wanted to make sure we had everything we could possibly need. "I only gave 3 stars because they discounted my stay due to their error. I booked a private 2 bedroom suite with private pool and they put me in a garden suite.... thank God I was traveling solo only for 1 night and not a week+ with my wife. It would have ruined the entire trip flying 20 hours from Canada for this experience, and that would have been a total failure. Still a severe let down for me personally and my travel partner. "This is a wonderful boutique hotel set on a gorgeous sandy beach. The gardens and pool are beautiful. It’s a very quiet relaxing place with very friendly, helpful staff. There are two kayaks and a paddleboard available free of charge. There is a hotel spa that offers massages on the beach and also a massage place on the beach next to the hotel. The hotel restaurant is very good. For more choice, the Intercontinental Hotel is next door and there are a couple of restaurants just a short walk...

"Based on what I paid which was close to $150 a night I would have expected more modern room and a better breakfast buffet but otherwise the place was clean with friendly staff and located right on the beach. The step over from the tub shower to the floor is non-standard height (higher than normal) so be prepared if you have shorter legs or mobility issues. "
