"I loved this experience! It was clean, quiet, charming and the staff were delightful. Would I stay again though? If I ever get an opportunity to be in the area again, I will absolutely stay here! "

"We had a friendly welcome, but were surprised to be asked to pay cash- in- advance on arrival, as there was no facility to pay by card as expected. Fortunately it was not a problem as a cash machine was close by. The hotel has no chef at the moment, but there were plenty of eateries in town. The 'continental breakfast' was delicious. We were able to leave the car parked safely while we took the train for a day out in Newcastle."

"The property is beautiful. The staff were very helpful during check in. Our room was in the Castle View Lodge and was very nice. The meals - dinners and breakfasts- were fabulous. The tour of the castle was very interesting and informative. "
