"Nice quiet hotel with comfortable beds. Our 1st room smelt a bit musty near the sink so they agreed to move us to a different room, much appreciated. The hotel has a good buffet breakfast with western and Asian choices. We didn’t try the onsen as it was closed for maintenance, there were family private ones available but too long a wait. Location is a bit far from the old town but is walkable, about 20 minutes. Morning market beside the river is worth visit."

I only have 2 minor complaints: 1) the room is VERY dated (but it is still clean and comfortable), and 2) they charged me ¥1000 for parking, but didn’t even take down my license plate or give me a pass or anything, which suggests I could have just parked there for free anyways (since I assume this means they...

"Staff are friendly and nice when greeting us at arrival. A senior male staff speak good English. Hotel supplied us complementary bottle water to drink. The room and beds are comfortable. Dining room is nicely set up. Breakfast are good with lots of varieties. I would recommend Hotel IL Credo Gifu to friends and relatives."

"We had an excellent stay at this hotel. The location is just a few minutes away from the bus station. About a 15 minute walk to Sanmachi area. They provided yukatas for us to wear. The bath was nice and relaxing. We enjoyed our Japanese traditional breakfast. The staff were excellent and attentive. We would recommend staying here if visiting Takayama! "
