Beaches: Playa del Duque, an artificial beach with light-colored sand, entices visitors with palm trees and bamboo umbrellas, a beautiful promenade, two cafes, and an exclusive restaurant. Playa del Camison and Playa de Fanabe also feature light-colored sandy beaches. The wide bays of Playa de Troya and Playa de Bobo, with their traditional light-gray sand, are protected from the strong currents of the sea by large breakwaters. Small coves can be found along the coast. El Portito is a small fishing village with just a few houses, situated in a beautiful cove. One of the island’s most beautiful natural beaches is accessible only on foot from El Portito—about a 20-minute walk. Various beaches are within a 15- to 30-minute walk from the accommodation.
Teide: In the Parque Nacional de las Cañadas del Teide, which was designated a national park as early as 1954, lies a massive volcanic crater with a circumference of 48 km, from which Mount Teide rises to a dizzying height of 3,718 m, making it the highest mountain in all of Spain. The park itself lies about 2,000 m above sea level, and in winter there is snow here, a stiff breeze, and the access roads are sometimes even closed. During the summer months, when temperatures reach over 40 °C, the barren, arid landscape gives you the impression that you’ve just stepped right into the middle of a "Western." You can reach the long-extinct volcano either on foot or via a aerial cableway that takes you almost to the summit. On a clear day, standing at the very top, you’ll enjoy a breathtaking view of Gran Canaria, La Palma, La Gomera, and El Hierro—30 minutes away
Masca: Masca, located at the northwestern tip of Tenerife and nestled in the Teno Mountains, is one of the most picturesque areas on the island. Deep gorges alternating with lush green vegetation line the winding paths. The road from Buenavista del Norte leads through many tight hairpin turns to the village of Masca. This village, which was virtually unknown until recently, has quickly become a must-see for all visitors exploring the island. The village’s spectacular setting, with its houses perched precariously on the narrow ridges of impressive rock formations, leaves a magical impression on visitors. Masca Bay, known as a former pirate hideout, is a three-hour hike from the village through breathtaking scenery. Return trips from the bay can be booked by boat to Los Gigantes. Masca is about a 30-minute drive from the accommodation.
