"The hotel is more like an upscale gasthaus. Lovely dining area for breakfast and attached restaurant for dinner. The staff were friendly, helpful and always available. The rooms are plain and roomy. Small bathroom but very adequate. Enjoyed our stay very much."

"owners were away, though left us in good hands with a Grandmother/granddaughter team. We enjoyed a warm welcome. We hadn’t realized there was an unspecified Monday holiday when all shops were closed, so we didn’t have breakfast provisions. Our hostesses generously gave us plenty of bread, fruit, cheese, and butter. The family breeds alpacas—they have more than 100—with walls of winning ribbons to show for it. Our apartment had a nice bedroom, bathroom, living room with a folding bed for our adult daughter, dining area and well-equipped kitchen. Doors opened to a patio. A pool is available during warmer weather. Lots of lovely wood furniture. Coffee and tea provided. You will need a car to enjoy this location. We highly recommend this establishment. It is a bit hard to find the 1st time. We looked for alpacas in the fields. The white plastic-covered hay rolls were a landmark, though we can’t promise they will be there for your visit. This quiet location is an easy drive to Freiberg and Dresden for cultural sites, bakeries, and more. Yet you return to the serenity of a rural location and a very comfortable, inviting place to stay. There’s an excellent restaurant, the Golden Stein, about a 10-min drive away. We bought some of their lovely handmade soap to bring home, though we wish we were still there. There are pets around so we were happy to get our fuzz therapy."

"Gerade ein paar Tage zurück nach Hause von einer wundervollen zeit in Pockau. Vom Kontakt vor dem Urlaub bis zum letzten Tag war alles sehr gut organisiert. Petra kümmert sich wirklich um ihre Gäste. Sehr gepflegtes Ferienhaus in einer wunderbaren Umgebung. Alles im Haus war gepflegt und sauber. Auch an ein Willkommensgeschenk für uns und unseren Hund wurde gedacht. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen, denn wir haben selten erlebt, dass alles so gut organisiert war. Also wirklich zu empfehlen, wenn Sie sich entspannen und Ihrem Hund einen großen Gefallen tun möchten. Grüße Anjo und John"
