"The bar staff was pretty cold and disinterested in serving us since all we wanted was ice cream. But everyone else was so nice and helpful. The breakfast was incredible and the rooms were very nice. About a 10 minute walk from the train station so very convenient. "

"The hotel was away from the town center, but there is a bus stop just down the hill (5 mins walk). So even though we did not drive, transportation wasn't an issue. Beautiful location - the view from our balcony was priceless! The breakfast was very good, and the lady managing the breakfast area deserves a special mention. A very memorable stay!"

"Property is under renovation which we knew about ahead of time. Dining is not within walking distance but they provided free bus service. They had a wonderful breakfast buffet and the hotel is a 5 min walk to Jungfrau train. "

"My wife and I had a fantastic stay at Hotel Sonnenberg! Our room in the chalet building was gorgeous with an incredible balcony and view of Grindelwald and the alps! The hotel is just up the hill from the train station which makes the walk up worth it to get a view better than any hotel in the valley! Breakfast was excellent with fresh bread and pastries baked right there in Grindelwald! The staff were lovely and George even coordinated a bottle of Champagne in our room to celebrate my wife’s birthday. Couldn’t recommend more!"
