"Lovely place to stay! Comfortable, clean, well kept property. Property manager was so welcoming and helpful. On arrival there was a full, prepared meal for us, as well as home made bread! Additionally, there were all essentials such as bottled water, milk, juice, butter, and jam for breakfast the next morning. Beds and linens were excellent, and plenty of towels for the bath and pool. Pool and landscaping were lovely, and surrounding area was very scenic. We had a great stay, and suggestion from the manager led us to a few fabulous restaurants, that we would never have found on our own. Highly recommend this property!!"

"Absolutely wonderful - all the staff were really friendly and kind, the food was fantastic, everyone spoke v good English. Very clean. Massive meals - under-order! An absolutely beautiful pool and gorgeous views of the mountains, and a private little balcony on our room. Friendly cats visit during dinner (they go away if told). A brilliant experience."

"Palazzo Greco is a set of modern villas with a stunning view and nice location close to several beaches. The units are clean, comfortable, and we were nicely set up with a single villa using the lower level for our two kids. Do sign up for the breakfast---it was delicious, the best we had in Greece. The staff is welcoming and even shows up with tasty treats."

"Our stay at the villa was very enjoyable & relaxing. The host family was extremely welcoming, attentive & generous - we enjoyed some lovely homemade meals. The villa was well- serviced. We enjoyed the large comfortable bed & found the villa, in general, well-appointed & comfortable - good air-conditionimg & appliances were much appreciated. Our pool, in the lower villa, did not enjoy the privacy we expected as the villa above has a good view of it, but this wasn't really an issue. We enjoyed the tranquility of the mountain setting & being 20 minutes from a supermarket & other facilities was fine. The proximity to Rethymno is good. Villa Harkia would be a good choice for your holiday in Western Crete."

"We absolutely loved the villa. In a quiet location and a short walk to Margarites, where there was a local shop for amenities and many tavernas and pottery/gift shops. A lovely walk too up to the monastery. The villa itself was perfect. It was clean and Elias provided everything we needed, it was like a home from home. The villa was cleaned twice whilst we were there and Elias was quick to respond to any queries. The pool was great, and we made use of the BBQ too. I highly recommend this villa and would love to return someday A car is required to get around as you are fairly remote. But still close enough to drive to local beaches around 20mins away."

"The owners were amazingly courteous, friendly, and professional. The property was beautiful and clean, and all staff were always willing to help in any way they could. The pool was always refreshing and relaxing, and there was a fully-stocked pool bar for drinks. Meals were served buffet style, and the dining area oversaw the pool. The rooms had either pool view, mountain view, or partial sea view. I would definitely stay here again! <3"

"The most relaxing holiday we have experienced...! Would have been nice to use the seating area by the lake but it was fenced off and overgrown. Nikos the host was very welcoming and always available if needed. Would definitely return, with a few improvements"
