The location was excellent; however, the discerning differential was the outstanding staff. Damien, Reuben and Andrew manned the restaurant extremely well and attended to my every need. The housekeeping staff were also polite and extremely attentive, Lastly, the breakfast chef was excellent.

We had a lovely room, with a good bed, linens and bathroom. Staff were welcoming and friendly and we had an excellent dinner.

Our 16 night stay here in Jun/Jul of 2015 redefined the meaning of hospitality for us. From the manager on down, the service was superb: Zyta and Natalie are superstars! No request was too small or too big, and we were made to feel like family. Rooms were comfy and quaint, decorated in true British county inn style. A comfortable room with excellent continental breakfast provided was justvwhat I needed while staying in the area tonattend a wedding in Midhurst. Wonderfully helpful staff made all details easy. I would definately stay here again if the opportunity presented itself.

The hotel was great! Very nice place, nice rooms. Bathrooms were all updated despite the inn being 500 years old. Beds were comfortable, there was enough space for our family of 4 in the family room. Very neat old building with the huge old wood beams. Innkeepers were very welcoming. Inn itself was quiet, but we had a little noise from the street as our windows were open and they were right about the entrance to the pub downstairs, so we would hear conversations of those coming and going from...

The Crown is everything you would expect from a Old World Inn, low beams, uneven floors and a feeling of warmth and age but still with service and comfort one would expect in a five star Inn.
