"Sadly I had a terrible experience at the Station Hostel. I booked 3 months in advance for a private room for a 2 night midweek stay during my trip to Germany. The location is absolutely fantastic, just minutes from the main station. Check in was friendly and efficient and I was pleasantly surprised when I got to my room. "Not very organized, they gave me the wrong room to start with, and a broken key too. It was way to hard to get in to the hostel. A lot of things that I wanted to use were dirty and unclean like the coffee pot. The WIFI was not reliable. The place is ok for $25/night I suppose. "

"This is a gem of a hostel, you can't go wrong. We had a 6 bed room to ourselves and, while initially looking a little on the cramped side, it was no bother at all as we mainly spent our time out and about. Spotlessly clean, great en suite shower, firm mattresses (which I thought were great, but guess that's down to personal preference!) The hostel is a 25 min walk from the centre of Cologne (Dom & railway station etc) and located a few mins walk from the buzzing Belgian Quarter, but still...

"Good property and great location. Staff needs to speak with guest, most of the time the confusion or question needs to be put in email and response is after 3-4 days. If you have everything figured out, it is great property but if you are stuck or have questions, good luck getting that sorted out. Moreover, expedia and limehome did not pass the complete booking details for which there is a confusion on guest count, etc."
